Programme Development Officer

Join Give Blood 4 Good as our first ever paid team member!

We’re thrilled to announce a major milestone for Give Blood 4 Good - we’re recruiting for our first ever staff role! As our work continues to grow, we’re looking for a passionate and proactive Programme Development Officer to join us on our mission to improve education and awareness around blood donation, particularly among young people.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead and grow one of our flagship initiatives - the Young Ambassador Programme - an e-learning programme supporting students in becoming confident, informed blood donation advocates in their schools and communities.

About the role

As Programme Development Officer, you’ll take the lead on expanding our Young Ambassador Programme across Scotland, working closely with schools, students and our small but dedicated volunteer team. From building school partnerships to developing engaging resources and seeking funding opportunities to support the programme’s future, this role is ideal for someone who thrives working independently and is excited by the chance to shape something from the ground up.

This is a fully remote, flexible role, and one that puts youth engagement, education and life-saving impact front and centre.

Please note we may close applications early if we receive a high volume — we encourage early applications!

JOIN OUR BLOODY BRILLIANT UNI SQUAD!

We are looking for hard-working, enthusiastic students who are passionate about blood donation to educate their peers and encourage more people to donate blood. As part of the Bloody Brilliant Uni Squad, your main goal will be getting students to talk about blood donation. To do this, empowering and celebrating blood donors is essential and is what will ultimately increase participation. In your role, you will assist groups of students, sports clubs and societies at your university to organise blood drives. Throughout the academic year, we want you to organise awareness events and fundraising campaigns in order to share our message. Whether you organise a club night takeover or a 5km charity run, it is completely up to you. This is your opportunity to get creative!

To apply, please send your completed application form and CV to hello@giveblood4good.org. If you have any questions at all, please do not hesitate to get in touch. We can’t wait to hear from you!
